FIRSTRobotics Type WhiteThe FIRST Robotics Competition gives high school students and their adult mentors the opportunity to work and create together to solve a common problem. Challenged to design and build a robot using a standard "kit of parts" and within a common set of rules to play a sophisticated field game − all in just six weeks− brings out the best in students and adults alike. The robot “game” changes every season and can be quite exciting.

Teams please remember to bring a PRINTED copy of your teams roaster from the FIRST web site to turn in to receive our Kit-Of-Parts. An adult from your team is required to sign with a government issued ID for your Kit-Of-Parts.

Also email me if someone other than your team’s primary contact will be signing for your teams kit of parts. Also you could email me an updated head count of the number of people that will be attending the kickoff with your team. That includes everyone, students, mentors, teachers, coaches, drivers, parents, siblings, school mascot, etc, etc, etc!
Due to the 350 capacity limit in the National Geographic Theater we are asking the teams to voluntarily limit the number of team members in the theater to 20 members. This will help us to assure that every team is represented inside the theater.
The size of the Kit-Of-Parts?
Nothing much different from years past. It is safe to say, Rookie teams should be able to fit their kit in an empty trunk of a mid-size car.
You can review the 2017 Kit-Of-Parts to get a feel of its size and weight
If you have any questions please let me know
See you at the Kickoff!
